Colorful Puzzle Ribbon as Symbol for Autism Awareness

Have you noticed the blue pinwheels outside of the school entrance?  The blue pinwheel is the national symbol for child abuse prevention which is observed in April.

April is National Autism Awareness month.  Adopted by the UN in 2007, Autism is one of only 3 health issues to be recognized with its own day by the UN.  The puzzle ribbon was adopted in 1999 as the universal sign of autism awareness.

April is also the month of the military child.  Soon you will see purple ribbons around the trees in the front parking lot to celebrate all of our military students.
